Gun ban question

Ok another newb question here. There is alot of talk about a possible handgun ban or AWB with Obama coming on board. I assume something like this has happened before and maybe under a Democratic president and that's why people are spooked? Not sure...I dont know the history. Anyway, if they pass say a hand gun ban on semiautomatic handguns, do people who own them now get grandfathered in?

Re: Gun ban question

That would be the general assumption, it's what happened with the 1994 AWB. The only question would be private transfers. If an AWB passes in the future, it will probably ban transfers or sales (so no used guns from the gun show, no transfer from your dad, etc.)

The only alternative I see is mandatory gun buyback or gun confiscation. At best, those would be politically devastating to BHO and the Dems.

1994 AWB - passed under Prez Clinton with the Senator Biden (yes, the same guy under Obama now as V.P.)

Google it for more info.

Yes, the guns already purchased should be fine. However, we need to OPPOSE any form of mandatory registration which is very, very bad since it could lead to confiscation.

Re: Gun ban question

Bottom line is, they will ban what they want to. We can guess based on history, but there was no history of a gun ban before 1994 in this country.

Just like the gold confiscation in 1933. It had never been done before. If they do it again, there's no reason to think it will be the same.

I do not expect it to be the same. I expect it to be far more drastic.

Re: Gun ban question

This is America.

There will be NO gun confiscation.

Repeat that to yourself.

We WILL NOT allow THIS type of BS to continue. Plus, everything Hussein does is null and void.

If they want to kick down doors we will effectively and ruthlessly do what we have trained to do.

Sure some of us will may not make it, but it is your duty to the future to resist any form of tyranny. ESPECIALLY when it is at the end of a gun barrel.

We don't go looking for fights....but we don't cower and run the other way when we get punched in the face.

Strip em naked and take what they have when you have your way with em. And ALWAYS have your a piece within arms reach.
